Most people seek psychotherapy when they are feeling emotionally or mentally distressed, whether the result of work or financial difficulties, relational or family conflicts, life transitions or other challenges. Therapy provides an opportunity to sort through these stressors, identify strategies to cope with and solve problems, and find the necessary resources to improve overall functioning.
Individual sessions allow for a person to closely examine personal stressors, frustrations and issues. Psychotherapy provides a private, confidential and objective space to explore obstacles and find opportunities for growth and change. I offer a supportive environment and maintain the focus of the work on a person’s role within his or her primary relationships, including work, intimate partnerships, and family. I often use an integrative approach to treatment, using treatment modalities that will best suit each individual.
