For all the joy and pleasure being in a committed relationship can bring, there are inevitable conflicts and stressors, whether related to negotiating household responsibilities, parenting, in-laws, finances, or life transitions.  Couples therapy provides an impartial atmosphere to examine individual perspectives and differences, identify patterns that lead to conflict, and learn new ways to interact and communicate to reduce conflicts.  This process provides an opportunity to sort through stressors and find the necessary resources to improve a couple’s overall functioning and relationship quality.
